This Privacy Policy describes how Bayaan – Word by Word ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we collect.

Information We Collect

We collect a minimal amount of information needed to provide and improve the App:

• Usage data — anonymous statistics about which features you use, study sessions, and progress within the App.
• Purchase history — records of in-app purchases (monthly subscription or lifetime purchase) processed by Apple and managed via RevenueCat.
• Device identifier — an anonymous device ID generated by RevenueCat to attribute purchases to your device.
• User identifier — an anonymous user ID generated by RevenueCat. This is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.

What We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or other personal contact information.
• We do not access your contacts, photos (except when you explicitly choose to save an image from the channel), location, or microphone.
• We do not collect any sensitive personal data.

How We Use Your Information

We use the limited data we collect to:

• Process and verify in-app purchases.
• Sync your premium status across the App.
• Improve the learning experience and fix bugs.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to any third parties.

We use the following service providers to operate the App:

• RevenueCat — for processing in-app purchases and managing subscription status. RevenueCat may collect device and purchase data as described in their privacy policy.
• Apple App Store — handles all payment processing per Apple's privacy policy.
• Supabase — used to deliver channel content (posts, audio, images). No personal data is sent to Supabase.

Data Storage

Most of your learning data — including streak, mastered words, study progress, and preferences — is stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers.

Children's Privacy

The App is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your Rights

You can:

• Reset all your learning progress at any time from the Settings screen.
• Restore your purchases from the Settings screen.
• Uninstall the App to remove all locally stored data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when changes were made.
